REQUIREMENTS FOR MEMBERSHIP
Student Members
-
Undergraduate & Post-Graduate students who have an interest in Risk Management.

Join RIMSON and study for Certificate or Associate Qualifications in Risk Management.

Obtain and complete the application form.
-
Pay a non-refundable fee for the application form.
-
Qualification required: minimum of Senior Secondary School Certificate (submit copies of certificates).
-
Submit 2 passport photographs.
-
Submit a good character reference endorsed by a clergy member or senior officer in the Public Service, Public Limited Company, a Corporate Member of RIMSON, or a RIMSON officer.

Pay the annual subscription and any other approved dues.
-
Commitment to abide by the constitution of RIMSON.
Members
-
Graduates from any field who have an interest in Risk Management.

Certified Members
-
Graduates who have passed the CRMD Certificate in Risk Management or possess other acceptable qualifications in Risk Management.

Obtain and complete the application form.

Submit copies of certificates.

Submit 2 passport photographs.

Pay a non-refundable fee for the application form.
-
Submit a good character reference as described above.

Pay the annual subscription and any other approved dues.

Commitment to abide by the constitution of RIMSON.
Associates
-
Route 1: Any Member who has passed the CRMD Diploma in Risk Management.
-
Route 2: Hold other acceptable qualifications in Risk Management (e.g., ARM or MIRM).
-
Route 3: Possess a professional qualification in a field of specialization plus 5 years’ experience in the Senior Management Cadre of a major organization and acceptable training in Risk Management.

Route 4: Hold a Master’s degree in Risk Management plus 5 years of working experience in responsible positions.

Obtain and complete the application form.

Submit 2 passport photographs.

Pay a non-refundable fee for the application form.
-
Submit a good character reference as described above.
-
Pay the annual subscription and any other approved dues (e.g., induction fee).

Commitment to abide by the constitution of RIMSON.
Fellows
-
Fellowship is the highest grade of membership, demonstrating commitment to the highest standards in professional development and competence in Risk Management.
-
To become a Fellow of RIMSON, an applicant must follow one of the appropriate routes:
-
Route 1: More than 10 years post-qualification as an ARM or MIRM and 10 years as a RIMSON Associate.
-
Route 2: Must be an Associate of RIMSON, in active service for a minimum of 5 years, and have a total of at least 10 years of relevant experience in responsible positions.

Route 3: Possess fellowship from another relevant professional organization, acceptable training in Risk Management, and provide support to RIMSON.

Pay a non-refundable application fee.
-
Must be an up-to-date financial member.
-
Submit a good character reference as described above.
Honorary Fellow
-
This position is an honor in recognition of outstanding contributions to the advancement of Risk Management.
-
Recipients are champions of risk management in the private and public sectors.
-
They may not have “direct” risk management qualifications but must embody commitment, innovation, integrity, and professionalism.
-
Applicants must be at least forty years old.
-
Submit copies of curriculum vitae and/or an autobiography.
Corporate Member
-
This membership is for corporate entities involved in Risk Management practice.
-
The company shall appoint two candidates: a Deputy and an Alternate representative at RIMSON’s general meetings.
-
Obtain and complete the application form.
-
Pay a non-refundable fee for the application form.
-
Pay the annual subscription.
-
Encourage and support relevant employees to become individual professional members of RIMSON.
-
Commitment to support the goals of RIMSON and abide by its Constitution.
